Miami's 31-0 playoff win over the San Diego Chargers on January 10, 1993 at Pro Player Stadium marked the largest margin of victory by the team in a playoff game.

Since 1970 the Dolphins have a 5-0 record against that year's eventual superbowl champion. The Dolphins defeated the 1970 Baltimore Colts (34-17), the 1985 Chicago Bears (38-24), the 1987 Washington Redskins (23-21), the 1998 Denver Broncos (31-21) and the 2000 Baltimore Ravens (19-6).
