QB Trent Green was the only bright spot in the offense even though he almost threw the game away with an awful throw in the last minute od regulation. He finished 24 of 38 with 219 yards and 1 TD with no INTs. He also had at least 5 passes dropped by his WRs on passes that hit the WRs between the numbers (Martin, Booker and Chambers) B
RB The running back play was just bad. The Dolphins could not run the ball. Brown had 32 yards on 11 rushes, Chatman was worse with 15 on 7 carries. They did catch 6 passes each but that was because the WRs were never open. D
WR Chambers, dropped an easy pass but at least he caught 6 for 92 yards. Martin dropped a pass for a crucial first down that was thrown right between the numbers, and so did Martin. Booker finished with 20 yards. No receptions for Ginn. F
OL The run-blocking was terrible. The pass blocking started shaky but got better in the second half. It could have been worse. Carey gave up a sack early. It will obviusly take time for the starting 5 to play better. C-
LB Zach led the team in tackles, but he did miss a few. Porter had some nice plays at the end. The problem is that they could not stop the run in the second half and they looked tired. Zach got his first sack. D+
DL The D-line did not pressure Campbell at all. He had all day to throw and when he did miss it was because he just threw a bad pass. The run game was even worse. Betts and Portis finished with 157 yards on 34 carries. It was supposed to be the strength of the defense and it wasn't. F
Secondary Daniels was burnt a few times and they did leave the WRs wide open at times. The did get 2 INTs (Daniels and Hill) but I don't think the secondary play was the reason they lost the game. C+
Special teams Teddy Ginn can run, no doubt. He was OK for a first game. Fields missed on one punt but he also played OK for a first game. C
CoachingThe gamble going for a TD instead of a FG in the last play of the half was wild. The bottom line was they lost a winable game and they could not stop the run and that's just inexcusable. D-
