QB Jay had a miserable first half. He completed 5 of 13 for 42 yards and 2 INTs. He did get the Dolphins back from worse situations in the past and the team only trailed by 7 at halftime but Wannstedt decided to make the switch and go with AJ Feeley in the second half. Feeley played a little better but he threw short dump off passes and he made a critical mistake throwing an INT under pressure that was returned for a TD. It was probably a miss communication with RB Lamar Gordon that wasn't a Dolphin 48 hours before the game. D-
RB The running game by comitte didn't work but it looks as though newly acquired RB Lamar Gordon will win the job and be Miami's featured back. Both Minor and Morris were injured and Konrad did not even dress for the game. Gordon had 12 rushes for 32 yards. D
WR Chambers wasn't involved in the game, Booker started but he had a quite game. McMichael was the lone light in the offense catching 8 catches and a TD. C
OL Fiedler and Feely didn't have a lot of time to throw and the running game was nothing to write home about. D
LB The Dolphins played OK on defense and the LB unit was no exception. The run defense was really bad as the team gave up 182 rushing yards. Seau had his first sack of the year. C+
DL Jay Williams had his first sack. They didn't play very well against the run. Bowens' absence was notable. D+
Secondary The lone bright spot on the team. Simply put they are a very good unit. They must cut back on penalties though. McNair's passing game was almost non existent. B+
Special teams Mare started with a miss. Turk played well and so did the return teams. Brightful looks good as a return man. C
Coaching The Dolphins tied a franchise record 14 penalties. They just didn't look prepared. The Fiedler benching was questionable, as the Dolphins were only down by a TD. The decision making looeke weird. Thios was the worst possible outcome on opening week. They din't look as though they could win the game, no matter what the score was. D-
