QB Henne was on his way to a decent B- type game before his god-awful INT. He practically threw the ball to the Buccs inside his 35 with under 2 minutes to go leading by 6. He did have 3 good throws to lead the team back to victory on the last drive, but, it was awful, really really awful, one of the worst throws I have ever seen. I now understand why the Dolphins are calling draw plays on 3rd and 10 as opposed to the passes called by Tampa bay. Ouchhh. D+
RB Ronnie and Ricky did a good job. Ronnie was injured on a play that he fumbled. Up to that point he had 82 yards on 12 carries and a TD. Ricky had 102 yards on 20 carries. The two longest gaines of the day a 45 yard run by Brown and a 27 yard run by Ricky... The also says something about the passing game. A-
WR They threw twice to Ginn deep. He should have had one of them (first play of the game). Newly signed TE Kory Spree had 3 receptions in critical situations for 31 yards and his first career TD. Thry only reason they signed him was because Fasano was hurt. Bess had two critical catches on the last drive. C
OL They had a decent game. The run blocking was OK (although with those two RBs you don't have to block much in order to look good, a few good plays are enough). The pass blocking was decent. C+
LB OK, I' m officialy on the Cam-Wake-needs-to-play-more bandwagon. He looks at times unblockable although he is not very good against the run and I understand why he doesn't play so much. Taylor and Anderson played well. 3 sacks for the LBs. B-
DL Not much pass rush from the front 3. Aside from Ferguson in run support I didn't see anything from Langford-Stark-Merling. Just mediocre play. It won't be enough for Carolina on Thursday. C-
Secondary They got burnt a few times by Josh Freeman ! Freeman ?!?!? aaahhh ?!!?!? Randy Moss is one thing but who the hell are the Buccs. The TE problem won't go away, Winslow had 100 yards in the second half alone. Bell is playing way below his 2008 form. Smith got burnt for the 33 yard TD by a 7th round rookie but other than that he was OK. D+
Special teams They almost lost the game (translation - lost the season) on a blocked extra point. p-l-e-a-s-e a blocked EXTRA POINT. There is no blocking for Ginn on the returns. Bess's punt returns are begining to look like an adventure. It's Ginn time on punt return ? or is the fact that he drops so many balls scares the hell out of Sparano and company ? D-
Coaching The clock management is just awful. For example, if you are going to kick it on first down don't leave 10 seconds 7-8 seconds will do for two plays. Kicking it from the 13 with 10 seconds to go in the half on first down ???? Are you kidding me ??? They should have tried to throw it in the endzone, there is plenty of time to kick it if it's incomplete. You can not play that SCARED (Henne's INT notwithstanding). They almost lost to the Buccs at home, make no mistake the Buccs are a horrible team. Just a bad team, there is a reason they are 1-8. D+
