Grading the Dolphins

QB Fiedler started OK as usual but he was awful the rest of the way. If he can't play because of the injury then he shouldn't he threw 4 INTs and he lost a fumble. His last INT gave the Buccs the game because the Dolphins were in FG range to tie the game, but Fielder decided to throw into double coverage. It's no. 9 not 13, and we could see. F

RB Smith was OK. He ran for over 70 yards giving him more than 1000 on the seaosn. Tampa is a hard team to run on and he did OK especially with the big gains setting up his TD and in the last drive (that Fielder threw away) B-

WR Gadsden started strong but disappeared. Martin was OK and OJ was nowhere to be found. The Dolphins miss Shepherd. C-

OL Considering the competition they had a nice game. Fiedler had time to throw (although if you see the results it doesn't look like he did). C+

DL Warrick ran at will. The Dolphins have been having problems in the run defense. They managed to put pressure on King and get him a few times. C+

LB They had too many missed opportunities. Too many 3rd and long blowed up. Even Zach wasn't that good. C+

Secondary The best unit in the team played OK although they gave up too many big plays in crucial situations. The gave up a 45 yard play on 2nd and 33. C+

Special teams Decent. The return was nothing to write home about. Turk is as usual unexpected to say the least. C+

Coaching There were flags all over the place in critical situations. The team was in a high mood. There was no reason to lose this game. Can't they just tell Fielder that if everybody is covered throw it away and let Mare have a shot to tie. In the last drive they ran the ball on 2nd and long (just before the INT), really can't they go for a 6-7 yard pass to get Mare closer and get an easy 3rd down ? D-
