QB Jay started the game awful with 2 of 6 with 2 INTs but then went on a hot strick completing 14 of 15. He managed to cross the 200 yard mark and he threw for a TD and ran for another. As always Fiedler is inconsistent and can play awful for a period of time, making all the possible mistakes, and then play brilliantly. B-
RB Running game ? there was none. When your running back runs for 2 yards and it betters his average per carry... He didn't have anywhere to run to and Seattle's run defense is very good but still, averaging under 2 yards a carry, that's Karim Abdul Jabar type numbers... F
WR Welcome to Miami Mr. McKnight. James McKnight finally had a great game catching 8 balls for 94 yards and a TD but he also had a fumble. Gasden had 1 catch for 15 yards. He was guarded most of the time by Shawn Springgs, but still when your star receiver has 1 catch it's a bad game. Chambers had another huge reception for 43 yards. B-
OL Fiedler had time to throw the ball, but where was the run blocking ? See the running back grade... D
DL Pressure at last, the Dolphins managed to get to the inexperienced Seahawk QB and got 4 sacks. Bromell had a very important sack that realisticly killed the Seattle drive. They did a good job on run defense also. B
LB Nice job as far as run defense. The pass defense, well, I'll leave it for the secondary. The Dolphins looked inconsistent, playing like the great defense that we know they can be and then playing below average. B-
Secondary A sorry excuse for a passing defense. On both of Seattle's TDs the WRs were wide open, They could have pitched a tent in the endzone. Darrell Jackson crossed the 100 yards receiving, really, Darrell Jackson ?! D-
Special teams Chambers had one good return for 47 yards, other than that he didn't return the kicks very well, averaging under 15 yards in his other 4 returns. PR Jeff Ogden fumbled a punt that led directly to Seattle's first TD and the mini turnaround in the game. It's his second fumble and fumbling on punt return is inexcusable. Mare was great in both kickoffs and in kicking a 46 yard FG. There is a reason he is the highest paid kicker in the league and Seattle's kicker reminded us how important a kicker can be. B-
Coaching To be honest, the Dolphins were also a little lucky. They are a better team than Seattle and should have won, but if only one play goes the other way... On the bright side, Mike-Newt-Gingrich-Holmgren decided to kick a FG on 4th and 4 from the Dolphins 10 with 2 minutes reamaining counting on holding the Dolphins in 3 plays with his timeouts and then moving the ball for the winning FG... So the coaching can always be even more uncomprehendable B
