QBRyan Tannehill was solid and with a lot of help from Clay and Thomas led the Dolphins to victory when the defnse did not play as good as usual. He finished 20 of 33 for 200 yards, 3 TDs ans 1 INT (returned for a score). He played very well when it counted, bringing the Dolphins back from deficit and not letting the momentum to swing Pittsburgh's way. Tannehill also had a 48 yard run and ran for another 1st down. He still can't connect with Wallace deep.B+
RB Lamar Miller suffered a concusion and in stepped Daniel Thomas. We thought he was probablly lost for the season but he surprised everybody by playing and he had a great game and basically made the play of the day by running for 55 yards to enable the Dolphins to score the game wininng TD. He finished with 16 carries for 105 yards and a TD and had very important 5,6,7 yard runs that extended drives. A-
WR A huge game for Charles "big play" Clay. He finished the game with 7 receptions for 97 yards (including a 40 yarder) and two TDs. The second one was the winning score seemingly caught by two defenders near the ten he somehow got away from both of them and ran for the score. HArtline had a huge TD keeping both feet inbounce and Wallace, though quiet, opened the middle of the field for the other receivers. He still can't connect with Tannehill. Clay deserves an A all by himself. A
OL They gave up 3 sacks but most were coverage sacks. They did a good job overall. The Dolphins ran for 181 yards including Tannehill's 48 yarder and Thomas' 55 yard run (both career longs). A solid job by the O-line . B+
LB The Dolphins LBs ere quiet and played OK although Zach Miller did get away from them a few times. No big plays for the three LBs and the Dolphins gave way too many receptions in the middle of the field. It wasn't a very good day for the entire defense and the offense bailed them out. C+
DL The D-line played well at times but should have taken Big Ben down more. He usually escapes from pressure that's nothing new but the inability to defend the run at the begining is a problem. Wake, Soliai and Vernon got sacks. Vernon actually has 11.5 sacks on the year, without a doubt, a breakout year for him. B-
Secondary This wasn't a good game for the secondary. They gave up 3 TDs to WRs afeter giving up 1 all year. Big Ben passed for over 300 yards to go along with those 3 TDs. They bere beaten at times by Brown and company. Brown finished the game with 137 yards including a 43 yard TD and a 55 yard recpetion. D
Special teams Jimmy Wilson blocked a punt and Sturgis missed a very difficult 51 yard FG. He did make the two short FGs though. An average game that included a bad penalty on a kick return that really hurt Miami. C+
Coaching Wow, what a wild game. The Dolphins played well especially on offense in a must win situation and then won because of the big plays made by Clay and Thomas and a lot of luck as Antonio Brown stepped out of bounds by an inch (Clemmons pressured him) in one of the wildest gplays in recent memory, It involved 5 laterals so you really can't say it was planned... The Phins are now 7-6. Unfortunatelly the Ravens won in the last second of the game and the Dolphins are still outside looking in as far as playoffs are concerned but they do have 3 tough games and the Dolphins play a tough home game next week against the Pats followed by two very winnable games against the Bills and Jets. The Phins are still in it... A-
