QB Cutler was back after missing one game. He finished 34 of 42 for 311 yards and 3 TDs with no INTs. He leaned heavily on the short passes to RBs and that's why, coupled with the hurry up against a prevent defense at the end, the completion percentage was so high. The offense did get two opportunities to win the game from midfield and they blew it. B+
RB No Ajayi for the first time and it looked as if his absence wasn't the problem. Drake, 9 for 69 yards and Williams 7 for 14 were the leading rushers. The run blocking did not leave them much room but at least their catching ability made the offense more versitile as to run vs pass. Drake did lose a fumble. C+
WR Parker was back and it showed (5 for 76 yards). Thomas had a decent game (6 for 84 and a TD), but there was still no separation down field and no big catches before the Raiders went to prevent defense. C+
OL The run blocking wasn't very good but the pass blocking was decent. There were penalties that cost the Dolphins and they are as much to blame as any griup for the two failed drives from midfield at the end of the game that could have won the game. C
LB Raiders TE Jared Cook had 8 receptions for 126 yards, including a 35 yarder - ouch. The run game was very good for 3 quarters but they did give up 27 points. No big plays from the unit as well. C
DL Suh with a suh-perman sack strip fumble play in the most critical point of the game gave the Dolphins a chance to win and they blew it. Other than that play there was no pressure on Raiders QB Carr. The run game was very good in the first 3 quarters. B
Secondary They gave up a 44 yard TD to a guy with 2 receptions on the year (including this one...) and Carr finished with 300 yards on only 30 attempts. That's not very good. Way too many 3rd and long conversions. C-
Special teams They were 1 of 2 in onside kicks but the one that mattered wasn't very good. Parkey missed an extra point again, they made up for it with the 2 point conversion but it could have hurt more. C-
Coaching The no Ajayi offense did decent in their first try but the lack of confidence in the offense (a run on 2nd and 20 ? really ?) and the conservative nature didn't help. The short passes to the backs idea worked well but at the end of the day, following Suh's Suhpermanian play, they blew 2 chances from midfield. They lost at home against a struggling team and are now 4-4 with 2 games aganist the Patriots and 2 against the good looking Bills to go. Ouch... C-
