QB Henne didn't play very well but he was not the reason Miami lost. He finished 18 of 36 for 211 yards and 2 INTs both returned for TDs by the Saints (one of a Ginn deflection) D
RB Ronnie and Ricky are by far the best Dolphins players. Problem is everybody knows that. It's pretty hard to play with NO passing game courtesey of the "WRs". Ricky had a great game in the first half. Ronnie was OK as the entire city of New Orleans concetrated on him. Ricky had a beutiful 68 yard TD (career long) and he finished the game 9 for 80 yards and 3 TDs. Ronnie had 16 carries for only 48 yards (3.0 average) and a TD. Total rushing game 137 yards and 4 TDs. The only bright spot in the offense this game, Ricky deserves an A. B
WR This is becoming ridicolous. Ginn is just not very good, dropping crucial passes is one thing but tipping them to the opponets is a hole other level of being bad. Camarillo is a decent 4th WR and Bess had his worst day of his career. Only bright spot Hartline, that's how bad they are. Sparano can continue giving the Party line about having good WRs but really, that's not even funny. By the way, the TEs were awful as well, Fasano and Haynos both dropped passes. F
OL The 168 million dollar line had trouble opening holes for Ronnie and Henne was sacked, hurried and hit several times, even the wildcat looked normal. They played OK the first half and joined the second half collapse. How in the world is Jake Grove continue getting false starts when he is the one snaping the ball ?? That's an every week occurence now. C
LB They made the effort, the results the first half were very very good but they collapsed in the seconf half. The middle of the field was wide open for Brees and company en route to their 36 point half. Taylor had a decent game. D
DL The D-Line let the Saints run wild the second half and participated in the total second half collpase. The Saints went TD, TD, TD, TD in the second half.... D-
Secondary They started well and had 3 INTs but the Saints moved the ball at will in the second half and the defense did give up 34 points...Again the good players are the rookies... D-
Special teams Giving up an 86 yard kick return for a team averaging 38 points a game is not a good idea. Enough said. Jason Allen is playing very well on special teams. D+
Coaching They led 24-3 going on 27/31-3 and suddenly it's 24-17... An awful Timeout giving Saints coach Sean Payton time to come into his senses and run a QB sneak from the one inch line before the break instead of trying a FG. They could have won the game at the end scoring when it was 40-34 but they threw the pick because they do not have any WRs. They lost by giving away 46 points - forty six! 36 of them in the second half. Ouuch. D
