QB Henne had a solid game especially in the first 3 quarters, at one time tieing a franchise record held by Pennington, for consecutive completions at 17. He did throw a costly INT in the 4th quarter and couldn't get the team to score in the second half even a single point. He is playing much better than his first few games and the coaches trust him much more. He finished 21 of 29 for 220 yards and an INT. He ran for his first career TD from 1 yard out. B+
RB Ricky fumbled the ball 3 times and lost one. That is highly uncharactaristic of his usual reliablr hands. He ran 28 times for 108 yards and a TD. It was the 4th 100 yard game of the year for Ricky. He has run for 100 yards in 4 of the past 5 games since becoming a starter. He has 970 yards on the year and will probably eclipse the 1000 yard mark for the first time since 2003 at the age of 32. This is just amazing. Hilliard is not capable of carrying the load just yet and Polite was his usual probowl level FB. He is way under rated outside of Miami but people are starting to notice Polite. C
WR Camarillo was great recording his 3rd career 100 yard game. (7 for 110 yards), Hartline and Bess caught 3 passes each. B
OL Henne had time in most cases and the run blocking was OK. As is often in football when a QB has time he will fine someone. When Henne had time he foud WRs for 10-20 yards a pass, not only dump off passes. Garner was called for holding twice. If he still wants to be a part of the 3 man guard rotation he should stop holding because a holding is a drive killing penalty, it's almost like a sack. B-
LB Porter got sack number 8 and Wake added another one (can anyone really stop Wake's bull rush pass rush ??? it's ridicolous). Torbor also had a huge play sacking Garrard. A solid game all around. The Jags scored only 10 points... A-
DL Nice game, Starks had a huge game winning play at the end. Soliai also had good penetration to stop the run. Merling also played well, agains the Jags scored only 10 points... A-
Secondary They allowed a 63 yard play to one hundred year old Torry Holt and they had him double teamed ! I think Wilson was responsiblr for the inside and Smith the outside but it doesn't matter it's still a huge play, and we are no talikg Randy Moss here, Holt is 100 years old. Other than that solid solid play. Other than the long pass the Jags WRs, TEs and RBs caught 10 balls combined for only 139 yards. Good day. Again the Jags scored only 10 points... B+
Special teams Ginn is a hit or miss returner (as long as he doesn't have any blocking). Carpenter missed a 38 yard FG he should have made, the Fins don't have the luxury of missing FGs in this stage of the season. If Ginn catches the ball 3-4 yards deep he should kneel and take the touchback, he doesn't have any blocking anyway. Nice job of containing Maurice Jones Drew on his two punt returns. D+
Coaching Nice game, nice execution, a little luck with the miscues (-3 turnover differntial, a missed FG, a 63 yarder) and still the Fins won. It's a shame all of the other AFC teams wonbut we really did not expect the Ravens to lose to the Lions now did we ? The team needs to focus on winning its next game, I still beleive that even though they do not control their own destiny, if they win out they will get in somehow. The offense needs to play better next week because the Titans can score points. B+
