QBRyan Tannehill looks much much better. He looks like a solid NFL QB in year 2. He played very well, efficient with no major mistakes and bad throws. A very good game for him. He threw for 319 yards completing 68% of his passes with a TD and no INT. He also made all the right calls at the end of the game and even when he missed (probably had more time then he thought on the last incompletion) they were minor mistakes. He looks MUCH better in year two. A-
RB Welcome to the NFL Lamar Miller and the running game. They decided to start the year in week two. They did not have a lot of chances but played well when needed to. You don't need to be an expert to see that Miller is FAST. Miller finished with 69 yards on 14 carries (4.9 average) and a TD. Clay carried once for a 1 yard TD and Thomas added 8 carries for 30 yards. B-
WR Well, Wallace was invloved. He complained last week that he wasn't involved and he made up for last week this week catching a career tieing 9 receptions for 115 yards and his first TD as a Dolphin. Clay had another great game going for 109 yards on 5 catches including a 67 yard catch. Hartline was his reliable self again (5 for 68 yards). A-
OL They did better. Clabo gave up a sack and there times when Tannehill didn't have enough time but they played better as the game progressed. A decent game for the run blocking as well, some of the blocks down the field were impressive. Pouncey can sure run down the field on running plays. B-
LB The defnse played poorly in the first half as it seemed they could not stop Luck. But they played better in the second half. Wheeler had a huge play to end the game on the blitz. Aparently Jeff Ireland was right, Ellerbe and Wheeler are proving to be upgrades. Misi is also very consistent. God help us if any of them get hurt because Misi was out two plys and it showed. C+
DL Cam Wake was very quiet and could not bring Luck down, There was no rush at the begining and the run stopping in the first half wasn't very good as well. Two very different halves for the defense. C+
Secondary I've seen enough of Brent Grimes in order to start praying for him to re-sign. Two games are enough. He is very very good. Even when he gave up a 47 yard pass play he was right next to the WR and it could have gone either way. Great INT in the endzone. Clemons is solid but he can't seem to catch the ball... Thry survived the game without starting CB Dimitri Patterson. C+
Special teams Caleb Sturgis is GREAT, What a good draft pick. Ireland knew what he was doing. His only kick was a 54 yard FG and he had to do it twice because of a timeout called. It could have been good from 60 as well. Fields had an uncharactaristic bad punt. B
Coaching The Dolphins were prepared and are now 2-0 after two road games. The tough road ahead in the next 3 games now looks surviveable. If they manage to be 3-2 after week 5 they have a chance. Great challenge flag and a very well executed game plan. Philbin just looks like a very good head coach. A
