QB Ryan Tannehill came back to the lineup and played OK, especailly in the first half when the Dolphins scored 17 points. The second half wasn't very good, his WRs did drop some passes but some of the passes especailly in the last drive seemed off a little bit. He was hurried by the Colts on numerous occasions including the last drive. He had the opportunity to win at the end and he didn't do it. He finished 22 of 38 for 290 yards and a TD with no INTs.C+
RB Something is not working in the running game. Bush had 10 carries for 41 yards but 18 of those came on his highlight TD. That meand he gained 23 on the other 9 carries for less than 3 yards a carry. Thomas had 6 for 37 including a 20 yarder. Miller again did not get his opportunity. He ran only once for 7 yards and left us wanting more. D+
WR Hartline caught 8 passes for 107 yards including a nice 35 yard pass. Clay also had a great 31 yard TD in his only catch. But Gaffney and Moore both dropped passes and there is a limit to what Bess can do (6 for 67). Fasano was nowhere to be found. Just an average game. C-
OL The running performance is just bad. They had way too many penalties for offsides, even Pouncey wasn't his usual dominating self. Long looks much worse than in previous years. He gave up sacks and penalties and doesn't look like a guy deserving the highest left tackle salary in the league. Tannehill had too much pressure put on him. D+
LB Burnett and Dansby are OK although Dansby dropped an INT that could have given Miami the game. Misi was just missing most of the day. The front seven put ZERO pressure on Luck and a rookie TE had a field day on the Dolphins. C-
DL Wake had a nother sack. But apart from that they were bad, just bad. Unable to get to Luck that at times had a day to throw. I think they should have brought more people to pressure Luck because the front 7 were not getting it done. Odrick and Vernon were invisible, even Starks. D-
Secondary Just an awful performance. With all do respect to Luck, 433 yards by a rookie QB is horrible. Sean Smith should have had at least 3 INTs including the play when the Colts scored (2 Dolphins covering) and a ply where he caught the ball and droipped it in FG range to tie with 3 minutes to go in the game. Had he caught it we were at least going to OT. They made guys like WR Brazil have great days and the worst part is the Colts dropped some long gains out there. The Colts regularly converter in 3rd and double digit and that's just bad. F
Special teams Marlone Moore did not hold in the last punt return where Miami could have tied. They did block the long FG. Fields was having his now routine pro bowl year. The special teams certainly were not the problem. B
Coaching I did not like the play calling in this game. The run game is just not working. Bush is dancing too much and they really should try Miller. I understand he has problems in the passing game but heck he can run. I don't understand going for long throws at 3rd and long at the end instead of operating on the assumption that it was all 4 down territory and trying to get to 4th and short instead of a conversion on 3rd and long. It was just a bad game and the worst part is it was a winnable game. The team is now back with the AFC pack. D-
