QB Henne was 35 of 55 for 322 yards, a TD and an INT. It sound fine but he missed on numerous throws (mostly high), at one critical situation did not control the clock well and most of his passes were dump off of 3 to 4 yards. He was unlucky twice - the INT was certainly not his fault and a 62 yard TD to Ginn was called back fro a penalty. B-
RB Ricky was unjured and missed half the game. The team couldn't run anyway and was way way behins for most of the time. Hilliard got 2 TDs (running and receiving). FB Lou Polite's penaly negated a 62 yard TD for Ted Ginn that would have put the team right back in the game with more than 20 minutes to go - that's just awful. D+
WR The best man today was Tedd Ginn (5 for 82) despite the penalty that negated his beautiful 62 yard TD when he outran everybody. There is a decent shot Ginn will play his last game in a Dolphins uniform next week, but you get the feeling that hw will be a decent speed WR for someone else. All other WRs could not get more than 45 yards. B-
OL Henne was hurried and sacked, Carey does not look like a 40 million dollar man and the interor line is a mess. They forced throws out of Henne that should have never been thrown that quickly. ZERO room to run either. D+
LB First half was a disaster. I really don't understand JT yelling at the corners, it's not like the LBs were getting anywhere near Schaub. Awful first half can not be ignored. An awful display of run stopping as well. F
DL Anyone who knows who the hell is RB Foster please stand up. Now that everyone is seated I'll give you his numbers - 19 carries 97 yards and a TD. The Texans had 126 rushing yards. For the record, there are ZERO teams worse than the Texans in runinng tha ballin the entire National Football League. No not the Lions or Browns or Rams or Chiefs or god help them those horrid high-school-level Tampa bay Buccs. No one is worse in running the ball than the Houston Texans - didn't llok like that at all. How fitting, the game ended when the Texans ran 3 times and secured a first down... No sacks either. F
Secondary The first half looked like a high school team was playing the mighty all stars. The Dolphins were not even near the level of play of the Texans. It was just ridicolous. The 27-0 didn't do any justice - to the Texans, it should have been more. At one time the Texans had 12 plays of 10 or more yards and the Dolphins had...drum roll - none. Hey, at least in the second half they looked better that the fron 7. D-
Special teams Ginn has ZERO blocking. They missed a 54 yard FG wide right and they also missed an onside kick. Add to that that Bess is just an awful punt returner that only knows how to fair catch and you got youself a pretty bad unit. At least the cover units are solid. C-
Coaching A very bad game for the Fins in the most important game of the year. They were just dominated at home in the most critical game of the year. And they were not playing the COlts or Saints either. The Texans are certainly a beatable team (although not by Miami judging from the 0-5 qll time record against the Texans). They just came out flat and by the time they recovered it was too little too late, the hole was too big and they lost ending their season. Just a god-awful first half. D-
