Grading the Dolphins

QB Osweiler led the dink and dunk offense as best he could and he did not make any mistakes. The numbers look good especailly after the garbage time 4th quarter. He ended the game 22 of 31 for 239 yards and 2 TDs. Osweiler is certainly not the reason for the loss. B

RB Gore had an average game. Drake had one great 54 yard TD run but a few drops to go along with the TD. An average game. C+

WR Albert Wilson was injured, Stills was banged up, the offense didn't look they were interested in the game. An average game with some nice catches by Grant and Amendola. C+

OL The Lions sacked Osweiler 4 times. This team can not recover from a 6-7 yard loss in a drive. They did block perfectly on the 54 yard run. C+

LB The Lions had 250 yards rushing. Johnson in the first half had 4 carries for 100 yards... F

Secondary Stafford was 18 of 22 for 217 yards and 2 TDs. Only 4 incompletions... 250 yards rushing... D-

Special teams The Lions had a 50 yard FG, The Dolphins missed from 46. Other than that a quite day. C-

Coaching Giving up 250 yards rushing is just not going to win any games in the NFL. It was a winnable home game and the Dolphins looked like a team not interested in winning but just getting by. A total collapse of the defense puts the tean in a tough spot. They could be 4-4 by week's end. F
