QB Pennington had an off day missing a few wide open WRs and throwing a rare INT (and at least one more was dropped by the Broncos). However, he did show that he is a capablr good game manager and that he can deliver when it counts leading the Dolphins in the 4th quarter on an 80 yard TD drive (the only such drive the Dolphins had. The 80 yarder clinched the victory for Miami. He finished 23 of 40 for 281 yards and an INT. B-
RB Ronnie and Ricky could not run the ball. Aside from a 30 yarder by Ronnie early on all other carries averaged very few yards. The wildcat wasn't that effective and the Dolphins can not seem to be able to run from the base offense. Ronnie finished the game with 20 carries for 59 yards, take away the 30 yarder and you are left with 19 carries for only 29 yards. Ricky ran 6 times for only 16 yards. Ronnie did score his 8th TD of the season. D
WR Talk about QB friendly, this game was Camarillo's turn to shine in the dink and dunk passing attack. Camarillo caught 11 passes for 111 yards. Ginn added another 3 for 38 yards. He did drop one pass, his first drop of the season. B
OL The run-blocking wasn't very good. Smiley has come out strong especially when he pulls. He has played solid all year. The pass blocking was solid for most of the game. The run results hurt their grade. D
LB A brilliant game by the defense all around. The Broncos rushed for 14 yards - that is fourteen (and 7 were in garbage-prevent mode). Porter got sack number 11.5. A
DL Again 14 yards rushing allowed. The inability to generate any pass rush from the D-line hurts this unit. fourteen... A
Secondary They played a great game. Denver is a very very good passing team but the Dolphin secondary dominated the game and won it for the Dolphins. They were lucky twice - Jason Allen drawing an interference penalty in a borderline situation and another when Cutler overthrew his WR in the Broncos' comeback bid. Other than that great game by Will Allen, Goodman, Jason Allen and Culver. 3 INTs for J. Allen a TD on an INT return for Will Allen and Culver had a pick. A+
Special teams Another horrible display by the "coverage" unit giving up a 95 yard kick return. Every opponets' return becomes an adventure. Ginn returned only 1 kicj but that was for 41 yards. He clearly upgrades the return unit. Carpenter conneceted on 4 FGs from 4 attempts. The 95 yarder ruins their grade. F
Coaching This team is suddenly at 4-4 with two home winnable games (Seattle and Oakland) coming up. A huge-monster game by the defense but the offense did strugllt at times. B+
