QB A decent game by Feeley. He went 25 of 43 for only 176 yards and one TD with no INTs, but he did miss on a couple of throws. 4 throws were dropped by his WRs. Most of his passes were short passes. The offense didn't look very good as usual even when he did have time to throw the ball C+
RB Running game ? what running game ? Morris did manage to finish the game with 69 yards on 17 carries. Minor carried the ball 6 times for 30 yards, mostly on draw plays. The longest run of the game was a 16 yard reverse runned by WR... Chris Chambers. C-
WR After a solid game against the Pats the WRs didn't play very well. Thompson dropped a pass and MxMichael dropped an alarming three passes. Even with the three drops he led the team with 9 catches but only for 59 yards. Booker had 4 catches, Chambers had only 3. Thompson caught the lone TD (one of his 2 catches) an 18 yarder. C-
OL They weren't as horrible as they were at the begining of the year but that's not saying much as they started the year with a level of play not fitting a proffesional franchise. They got better but still players came flying in Feeley's face and the run blocking left something to be desired. Feeley was sacked twice. C-
LB Zach Thomas returned and it howed. He had a mind bogling 18 tackle day. No mis print here - eighteen. three went for losses, 9 solo. Waw. The LBs played a solid game. Greenwood and Ayanbadejo started alongside Zach. Moore was injured and probably won't return this year. B+
DL The Dolphins run defense continued to be very poor. The missing DTs are showing as even Lee Suggs gained a bunch of yards on them. He finished the game 143 yards on 38 (!) carries, the rushes number was a new Browns record (remember this is Jim Brown's franchise). B-
Secondary This secondary is far too good to be having problems against a rookie QB like Luke McCown. They did blow up the coverage on the long Browns TD. But apart from that the Browns completed only 8 more passes. McCown finished 9 of 16 for 161 yards, 2 INTs and 1 TD (58 yards to Northcutt). Freeman and Surtain had the INTs. Both now join S Sammy Knight with 4 INTs on the season to lead the team. B+
Special teams They tries a pooch punt by Mare that did not turn out very well. The coverage teams were very good. Cleveland's kickoff retrn average was limited to only 17 yards per return. Northcutt did have a 22 yard return. Mare won the game on a 51 yard FG with 7 seconds left on the clock. Turk punted 8 times with a 39.5 average (lomg of 53 yards) B
Coaching With all the distrations of the week, the coaching staff did manage to prepare the Dolphins and win the game. The Browns are an awful team. Remember this is the team that gave up 58 points to the Bengals, the Bengals ! Miami managed only 10 points but it was enough to win. The Dolphins now hold the 4th pick in April's draft. A-
