QB Henne was solid. He threw the ball away when needed and made some great throws on third down. He played very well all arounf and led the team to victory. He finished 17 of 29 for 172 yards and a TD with no turnovers. B
RB The Dolphins lost Ronnie last week for the year. Ricky steped up big time as he rushed for 119 yards on 22 carries and scored 3 times, twice rushing including a great 46 yard run that pretty much sealed the victory. Ricky, just as he did in his prime, played better with more carries. Hilliard got his first 4 career carries and managed 24 yards. Polite had a huge day blocking for the running game. A-
WR Only one drop by Haynos. Ginn played well getting some tough catches, he finished with 32 yards on 4 catches. Bess is now the best Dolphin WR. He made some outstanding plays as he has become a first down machine (6 for 63 yards). B
OL They had a great game considering the injuries. Gardner started at LG for the banged up Smiley. Then Carey went down so Gardner took a few snaps at RT and Smiley got back to LG. Grove went down so Berger played center and when he went down Gardner moved to center... a position he never played. Maybe they need to carry 8 OL on the active roster next time... B
LB Porter finally had a good game with 8 tackles including 2 sacks. Taylor was very very quite. Crowder and Ayodele were solid. The run defense was just bad, missed tackles and all sorts of bad plays. Carolina is a very good running team. They finished with 183 yards rushing. B-
DL The pass rush was decent. The Panthers ran at will against the Dolphins front 7. 183 rushing yards is inexcusable. Merling and Stark had sacks. C-
Secondary They played solid. Most of the Panthers passing yardage was hurry up in the end of the game. Davis was beat Steve Smith for a TD but in general they played well. Jones got an INT. B
Special teams Ginn had two very good returns averaging 42 yards on his two returns. They also secured the Pamthers' onside kick. Fields averaged 40 yards a punt. B
Coaching They managed to pull off a very important victory on the road. They will have a good shot to move past .500 for the first time this season at Buffalo in 10 days. It was short week combined with Ronnie's injury that took away almost the entire wildcat formation. B+
