QB Frerotte finished with 14 of 33 for 171 yards, 2 TDs and 1 INT. He was hot and cold at times and had decent time to throw but didb't connect on a lot of throws. He did throw the ball away a few times to avoid sacks. C+
RB RB Ronnie Brown had 132 yards on 23 carries with 1 TD. Without the 58 yard run his average was only 3.4 yards per carry because he still dances at times. He did run hard most of the time and had a great 58 yard run that took Miami out of its own 2 yard line. That drive ended with a FG. B+
WR Chambers played well. He is inconsistent like last year. He finished with 6 catches for 93 yards and a long 43 yard TD. Everybody else didn't do too well. Booker had only 2 receptions and McMichael only one but it was for a TD. C+
OL Frerotte had time to throw and they blocked OK as well. They did go against a very strong frony four that includes DE Julius Peppers, arguably the best DE in the league and Mike Rucker. They did have the now usual penalties. They can play better but they did an OK job Sunday. B
LB Zach got his first sack of the year and was everywhere as usual. Seau, Crowder and Spragan played well also helping to shut down the Panthers running game. The Panthers had only 61 rushing yards. B
DL DE Kevin Carter had his second sack of the season, he is having a great year. Keith Traylor also played well against the run. Holiday also left his mark. A good game. B
Secondary The secondary play wasn't very good most of the time. Steve Smith torched the secondary for 11 catches amounting to 170 yards and no less than 3 TDs. They also were penalized too much. Jones got a sack and so did Schulters. But, when it counted Lance Schulters had the play of the game that gave Miami the victory. C+
Special teams The Dolphins played well, getting a fumble recovery when Smith dropped a punt. They also had a great play when Welker caught the kickoff with one foot outside which makes it Dolphins ball at the forty even though the ball was headed inbounds. Mare also connected on the game winning FG. B
Coaching The team won its second game and that's what counts. They did have 13 penalties and have a total of 34 penalties in 3 games. The end result is Miami looks much better than anyone anticipated and the players look confident enough to continue winning. B+
