QB Felley started the game great throwing 3 TDs in the first quarter but he cooled off and played a very bad second half. He completed less than 50% of his throws going 25 of 51 for 303 yards. He tied a Dolphin record by throwing 5 INTs, 4 of them in the second half. Do we really have to mention that Feeley threw an INT that was returned for a TD or has it become such a regular occurence it's not worth mentioning ?D
RB Minor ran for 82 yards on 20 carries and a TD. Konrad got a a few rare carries finishing with 18 yards on his two carrries. Henry fumbled his only carry and the Dolphins featued RB number 7 this year - Vick King. King carried 3 times for 8 yards and he caught one pass for 8 yards. B-
WR The WRs played pretty well this game. Booker had a great game catching 5 passes for 96 yards with a long of 36 yards. Chambers caught 5 for only 49 yards but he scored. Gilmore and Thompson caught 3 passes each for 44 and 42 yards respectively. Gilmore scored a TD and so did TE Donlad Lee on his only catch of 15 yards. McMichael was very quite catching only 2 passes for 14 yards. B+
OL Feeley, despite what 5 INTs would suggest, had time to throw, in relative 2004 Dolphins terms. The running game played well in the first half. The entire Dolphins offense played well in the first half. C+
LB It wasn't the defense's best game. The offense and special teams gave up 2 TDs but the defense gave up the other 4, all threw Bledsoe's arm. McGahee had 91 yards on 23 carries in his homecoming. Rookie LB Derrick Pope, starting for the first time in his career recorded a sack. D
DL David Bowens and Jeff Zgonina had 1 sack each but the line didn't put enough pressure on a staute QB like Bledsoe. He had way to much time and when he does, he sure can throw the ball. D
Secondary Bills' QB Drew Bledsoe finished the gmae 19 of 30 for 277 yards, 4 TDs and 0 INTs. He is a good QB, but he is not that good, not in this stage of his career. The secondary had, by far, their worst performance of the year. Rookie WR Lee Evnas had 110 yards on 4 catches, 2 going for TDs, one for 69 yards. Moulds scored on a 30 yarder and they gave up a TD to a TE named Euhus. This Euhus had 4 catches for 32 yards against the best secondary in the NFL. F
Special teams They could be playing very well but a TD on a kickoff return covering 104 yards merrits an F no matter how good the others played (and Turk played well with a 45 yards average on 5 kicks). F
Coaching This game should have been won by the Dolphins. Feeley played very bad in the second half. This team can not win with him trying to carry the team. They gave up their now routine INT returned for a TD and added a bonus a 104 yard kickoff return for another. Add to that their bad secondary play and you get 6 opposing TDs. Today's offense can not overcome that. The last time a Dolphin team could overcome that was when Marino was in his prime. D-
