QB Ryan Tannehill's injury is a concern. He only played for two series. Matt Moore played very well in his place. He was 11 of 19 for 131 yards and a TD with no INTs. He had a very nice 38 yard throw to Marlon Moore. A solid game for the backup. B
RB Reggie Bush rushed 14 times for 59 yards. Thomas added 42 on 15 carries. Most of them when the game was out of hand for NY and the Jets knew Thomas was going to run in order to run out the clock. Bush did lose a fumble for the first time this year. C+
WR Hartline caught 4 for 41 and Bess caught 4 for only 28 yards. Fasano had a brilliant catch on the TD pass from Moore. They weren't asked to do much but when they were needed they did OK. Moore caught a 38 yard pass on a great catch and Gaffney had his first reception as a Dolphin count as it was a 30 yard throw, he did drop a long ball though. B-
OL The running performance was OK. The protection was very good and they kept Moore clean most of the time. It's still early to figure out who is to blame on the Tannehill sack that injured him. A solid game overall. B-
LB Burnett is having a brlliant season. He is a very very good player both against the run and in coverage. Dansby also had a good game. They were a key componet for Miami's dominant defense. A-
DL Wake had a nother sack. Soliai was unmoveable at times. Starks was his usual self and Olivier Vernon is having a breakout strech. He is a very very good player. Getting pressure and his first career TD on special teams. A
Secondary Don't be fooled by Sanchez numbers. He padded his stats after the game was decided and remember he had more than a quarter of garbage time. They played very well. Sean Smith is becoming elite. Caroll also played well but he can not seem to hold on to balls coming his way and that's a shame. He had at least on sure INT. Clemmons had an INT and Jones had a good game. The big run is a problem but overall a good game. A-
Special teams WOW ! dominating ! one of the best performances by Miami's special teams in years. succesfull surprise on side kick, defended succesfully an onside kick, Block punt and TD of the block punt. Block FG. 57 yard kick return, Fields averaging 47 yards on 6 punts, Carpenter was 3 of 3. Can you really have a better game than that ? They did give up one long return but really... This is a low grade for this kind of performance. A+++
Coaching Special teams coordinator deserves an A+ all by himself. Is it time to admit we have ourselves a very good coach in Joe Philbin. It was just an all around great performance. What a dominating performance on the road in a division game. A+
