QB Great game for Pennigton. He was very very accurate completing his last 16 throws as he finished 17 of 20 for 226 yards without any turnovers. As close to a perfect game as you can ask for. A
RB Oh-Wao! this is what we had in mind for the Ronnie and Ricky Show. R&R both had huge games lining up in all kinds of formations, Ronnie getting direct snaps, Ricky as a wide out, Ronnie as a FB being the up man in the I formation and getting the carry in short yardage situations. Ronnie was 17 for 113 yards with 4 TDs and another throwing to Fasano. Ricky was 16 for 98 yards. Ronnie had a 62 yard score and Ricky had a 28 yard run. A+
WR Ginn had 5 catches, fianlly leading the team. Camarillo also had 4 catches and played well. Fasano scored again, he finished with 3 catches for 66 yards including the TD. Finally, the WRs arrived. Heck, even Wilford caught a pass. B
OL The run-blocking was by far the best of the year and Penny had time to throw. When you hardly hear their names called in the game it's a good game. B+
LB Porter had 3 sacks, they all played well as a unit limiting New England's running game and short passing game. B+
DL Merling and Lagford look like keepers, Merling had his first career sack. Starks intercepted a pass and the Pats couldn't run anywhere, a very good game indeed. B+
Secondary A week after the Card debacle they played well limiting Welker and Moss to short passes. That was Randy Moss on the other sideline. B+
Special teams The coverage team did not play well allowing an 81 yard kickoff return and some other long returns in the 35-50 yard range. Ginn is wasy-wasy better than Bess, I just don't understand why he is not in there on returns. D
Coaching What a difference a week makes. They caught the Patriots off guard with that formation when Ronnie plays QB, Ricky and Penny a split wide and Ricky comes witht the reverse getting the ball or faking getting it and leting Ronnie run or pass. It scored 3 times, two Ronnie runs and a pass. Great game all around. A-
