QB Frerotte was horrible. Why in the world would Miami throw on 3rd and 2 from Atlanta's 8 yard line when Ricky and Ronnie were playing so well. He finished 13 of 22 for only 103 yards and an INT. 0 for 9 on 3rd down - z-e-r-o. Rosenfels anyone ?F
RB Ronnie and Ricky played very well. Ricky had 52 yards on 10 carries and Ronnie had 67 yards on 12 carries. The problem is they are the only 2 players on offense. The QB is just bad and the WRs aren't any good either, including Chambers which is no more than a second WR and not an elite one at that (wouldn't you take Reggie Wayne instead ?) B+
WR They didn't play well and now you can add the phrase "as usual". The 3 Dolphins WRs combined for 6 receptions. s-i-x. D-
OL They were OK, but they can't throw or catch. The running game was OK, thanks to R&R but what can the O-line do when Frerotte just misfires and the WRs can't catch anything not thrown exactly at them. C
LB Horriblle game for the entire offense. Atlanta converted 11 3rd downs - E-l-e-v-e-n !. They seemingly had 90 yard drives all day. D-
DL They had a few sacks but they just couldn't stop the Falcons on 3rd down. They did do a good job against the run. Dunn was limited to 88 yards on 25 carries. D+
Secondary Vick is a lot of things, but a good passer isn't one of them. They made him look like Marino. He didn't have an incompletion until the second quarter when he threw his 8th pass away. He finished 22 of 31 for 228 yards and a TD. That's just too high for Vick, because he is going to kill you with his running at least you have to prevent the passing part. D-
Special teams The only bright spot on the team. Donnie Jones had a huge game averaging 43.5 yards on 6 punts with almost no return yards. Mare was solid as usual. B+
Coaching What the hell were they thinking ? The Falcons couldn't stop Ronnie on the last game tieing possesion. Then they throw it 3 times for 2, 6 and the big one an INT on 3rd and 2 from the 8. Ronnie could get a first down with 2 tries in 90% of the times and then you have 4 tries to put it in from the 5. It's an OK call when you have a QB but by this time they no Frerotte is just not a good QB. the Dolphins couldn't get off the field on 3rd down and couldn't get 1st downs on their own 3rd downs. F
