QB Ryan Tannehill was one yard shy of the NFL all time record for rookies when he passed for 431 yards (26/41, 1 TD and 2 INT). It also included an 80 yard throw to Hartline and another 57 yard throw to Hartline. He played very well for a veteran not to mention a rookie. But he did have 3 turnovers, none of which were his fault. Hartline fell on one of them, he was hit in the crucial 2nd INT and he was sacked and fumbled when the Dolphins did not pick up the blitz. He did not get the W but he played well and showed a lot of promise. B+
RB Reggie Bush played despite his injury and the DOlphins RBs weren't able to dominate like against the Jets or Raiders. Bush finished with 67 yards onn 17 carries (3.9 average). An average day C-
WR The Dolphins have only 2 WRs which is incerdible in today's NFL. But what a game they had: Hartline - franchise record 12 catches for 253 (!) yards including an 80 yard TD and a 57 yard reception. Bess had 7 catches for 123 yards in his career day. Nanee's fumble should not be counted in the grade because he shouldn't be playing for the Dolphins - cut him already. A+
OL For the most part they did a good job but at the end in OT they could not protect the QB which led to a sack fumble game over in OT. C+
LB They weren't bad. But the entire defense collapsed in the last possetion in regulation and OT. Dansby had his first sack of the season and Misi had 1.5 sacks. B-
DL The Cards tried leaving Wake alone on a rookie - it resulted in 4.5 sacks for Wake. Odrick also had a sack. Starks and Soliai were solid. As the entire unit they did not play well in the last drive of regulation and in OT. B-
Secondary The weak spot was again the unit that hurt Miami the most, giving up more then 300 yards and 3 TD to Kevin Kolb. Smith had 2 INT but also gave up the final TD - ouuch. D
Special teams Carpenter is more than horrible, We all lost confidence in him making any FG outside of 42 yards and that's just bad, especially with his cap number. He missed from 51 again. There is no excuse for that. F
Coaching The play calling was contraversial. Going for a pass play with 3 minutes remaining up by 7 in Cards territory on SECOND down (the result a sack-fumble that gave the Cards the oppurtunity to tie). Other than that, an agreesive game plan. Sometimes it's just a matter of luck and the Dolphins were unlucky that's all. B-
